Apple Fritters

by Smockity Frocks on January 19, 2007

I made these last night and the kids had them for breakfast this morning.

3 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
4 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 Cup orange juice
1 Cup chopped apple (I used more)

Combine dry ingredients; set aside. Combine wet ingredients. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonsful into hot oil. Fry about 2 min. or until very brown. Dust with powdered sugar.
