Everyone at our house was extremely disappointed at Christmas when my mother and brother left our house 2 whole days ahead of schedule to beat an ice storm that was predicted to cover our area. That ice storm never actually made it to the roads that my mother was worried about travelling, but she had obligations at home that needed tending to, and she couldn’t risk being stuck here for who knows how long.
Now that The Hollars are here, guess what the weather man predicted yesterday? Thaaaat’s right….an ice storm! Determined not to cut the visit short, Michele decided to wait it out. Everyone was thrilled to wake up this morning to find that the ice storm actually came! Travel is being strongly discouraged by those wise men on the news channels, so they are here for…who knows how long! Everyone is even more thrilled!
