**GO HERE FOR THE APRON CONTEST.

My friend’s husband tagged me. I’m supposed to tell you 5 things about myself that you may not know. Hmmmmmm… well since I’m pretty much an open book, and I emailed my blog address to all my family and friends, I’m not sure I can come up with 5 unknown facts about myself. In any case, I’ll give it a try.

1) In Jr. High I made up a secret code of upside down backwards cursive Pig Latin. I used it to write letters to my friends. I eventually had to give it up, though, since I was the only one who could write or interpret it. (Work with me people! Would it hurt to put forth a little effort?)

2) I went to a Rick Springfield concert in the ’80s. Rock on! (Hi Tonia)

3) I went away to college when I was 17.

4) My college roommate was in my first grade class. (Hi Ellen)

5) I got married after my freshman year, when I was 18. (Hi Honey)

Now, for the 5 people I am supposed to tag. If you have ever worn wings in your hair, Yo-Yo’s on your feet, or leg warmers outside your jeans, tag, your it! Leave a link in my comments and we’ll all have a good laugh – with you, not at you!

  1. What do you mean yo-yos on your feet and who has wings in their hair?

  2. My friends and I made up our own way of communicating. What we would do is this: we would take only every other letter in the word, and turn it backwards. It worked, too. We could read it, but nobody else wanted to after they figured out what we did.

  3. Keith Hollar says:

Rick Springfield!! I’m shocked. What a wild woman you were back then. I didn’t know you ever listened to rock music.

  4. ~*~ Jennifer ~*~ says:

“If you have ever worn wings in your hair, Yo-Yo’s on your feet, or leg warmers outside your jeans, tag, your it!” Oh my goodness… You just tagged a TON of people.

Except the yo-yo’s… I’ll need a photo of that one. I don’t get it.

So… have you seen Napoleon Dynamite yet? Awesome!!! °Ü°

I’ve already been tagged with this one — so I’m in the tag free zone… I think.

  5. Myfriendconnie says:

“Wings” were a hairstyle, and I can’t believe no one remembers Yo-Yos! They were platform shoes with holes in the soles. I can’t find a photo, but I’ll update if I do.

I haven’t seen Napolean Dynamite, but I’ve heard it’s funny.

  6. I would like to see this upside down, cursive piglatin! I speak piglatin, and I can read upside down, but that sounds like a major feat writing upside down and backward AND in piglatin…in cursive. Wow!
