MaddieLynn’s Yummy Noo-noo Recipe

For lunch today we had noo-noos (Katherine’s version of noodles), corn, peas, and ham chunks with Cream of Mushroom Soup sauce. Here is the recipe:

1/2 of a 16 ounce package of uncooked shell noo-noos
1/2 of a 16 ounce package of uncooked curly noo-noos
1 15 ounce can of sweet peas
1 10 3/4 ounce can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 3/4 cup of frozen corn kernels
2 cups of frozen ham chunks

Heat 5 quarts of water to a boil. Add ham chunks and both kinds of noo-noos and boil for 5 minutes. Add corn and boil for 5 more minutes. Taste-test the noodles for tenderness and boil longer if necessary. Mix Cream of Mushroom Soup with 3/4 of a can of water in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 3-31/2 minutes. Drain the water from the noo-noo mixture and pour back into the pot. Add drained peas and soup sauce. Stir and enjoy!

This is a good dish because if you drink milk with it it has all of the food groups. It also is very colorfull . :-)
