I know y’all have been worried sick about my bad allergies (and bad attitude), and the truth is I have been stumped as to why this episode has lasted so long. Usually my allergy attacks last for 2 days of constant sneezing and then I’m all better until the next time the Cottonwoods bloom.
This time, though, I have been sneezing, wheezing, coughing, dripping, wiping, moaning and groaning for a solid week. I finally realized last night that I have been spending several hours each day in close proximity to lots of hay. HAYfever, anyone? Yes, I am allergic to hay and I remember many times as a child having to use my asthma inhaler because of it.
The good news is it only took me ALL WEEK to figure it out! No sir, you can’t fool me for more than SEVEN. LONG. DAYS, ’cause this lady’s one smart cookie! Even better news is that I have resolved to never, ever come into close contact with hay for the rest of my born days, (Goodbye, Dream of House in the Country!) and that means no more stinkin’ thinkin’ around these here parts, because, and I know you already know this, when Mamma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.
So, please, if you see me in a state if oblivion, walking anywhere near a haystack, use any means necessary to tackle me and get me away from there! My family will thank you.
