As I was reviewing the books of the New Testament with Piccolina, our 8 yr. old told us that when she was a kid, you know, last year, she thought that the portion that goes “..Hebrews, James..” was actually a sentence. “He bruised James.”
She spent a lot of time wondering who bruised James.
That reminded me that when I was a child I used to think the familiar old saying was: “Finders keepers. Losers sweepers.” I had no idea why, but I thought if a person lost something, they should start sweeping immediately.
Maybe they would find the lost item in the debris.
I would have been bawling!
“When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.” (1 Corinthians 13:11)
