This week is the “Greatest Hits” edition of Works For Me Wednesday. A few weeks ago I asked what can opener readers recommended. I got a lot of responses (and still get plenty of google hits), and as result bought this can opener.
Oxo Good Grips Smooth Edge Can Opener
I LOVE IT! It works very smoothly and there are no sharp edges. Time will tell if it holds up for the long haul, but for now I give it a big thumbs up.

Hmm- I have never seen that one before. I might have to try it out when my current one hits the dust!
Oxo Good Grips is not such a great can opener. Feels good in the hand, but it only opens cans well for a short time… Then you have to squeeze that sucker until your hands hurt. and still… Expensive. Don’t bother. I’ve had two, when the first one failed I complained to Oxo. They sent me a new one. After a couple months… same deal. I quit. I’ve heard some great news about the Kuhn Recon.
