The Best Ironing Board Ever!

by Smockity Frocks on May 20, 2008

Recently, my ironing board developed a bad leg. I talked sweetly to it and coaxed it to keep giving me its best, but it refused to stand up straight. It wobbled so badly that I was afraid it would fall over with the slightest nudge.

I finally bit the bullet and bought a new one. This is the one I bought and I think I’m in love.

Polder Dual-Leg Ironing Boards

Since it has 4 legs instead of the 2 crossbars most ironing boards have, it doesn’t wobble. At all! And the best part? Y’all! It doesn’t SCREEEEEEEE-EEEEEE-EEEEECH when I open and close the legs! I also like the iron rest on the end.

And speaking of ironing boards, here is a funny little video about irons that cracks us up:

Glad I clicked on this link. I’m headed to Lowe’s! Thanks.

HaHa! I want to know why that cord is there too. :) That ironing board looks cool. I always worry about forgetting to put it up and it all falling on the dog while we’re gone.

Oh I hate that big screeeeeech! Not only is it annoying, but when you try to iron while the toddler is sleeping to avoid that whole pull it down on himself issue, the big screech is impossible to keep quiet so that sleeping children remain asleep! Too bad I can’t justify buying an ironing board right now… that one looks great!

Yeah, we don’t drag out the iron around here unless it’s an emergency. Depending on the fabric and type of clothing item, we have lazily taken to misting clothes with a spray bottle of water then tugging and smoothing out wrinkles WHILE WE ARE WEARING THEM! Usually by the time we walk out the door they’re dry again, and look pretty good. I DO fold or hang all of our clothes as soon as they come out of the dryer cool down cycle, so they’re not too bad from the get-go.
