My mom visited us for the Fourth of July, and she brought several boxes of old patterns with her. Some of them were clothes her own mother had sewn for her when she was a girl and some were patterns she used to sew clothes for my sisters and me.
Here is one she brought that I have always loved. It is super simple. Only three pieces in all – and it’s reversible, so you get 2 outfits in one! (Here is some fabric waiting to be cut and sewn. This dress can be worn with the green side out or the pink side.)
I used some fabric I had left over from another project to make the first dress (not shown here) and immediately knew I would want to make more, so I
ran to Wal Mart lived the longest day of my life in a Super Center and got the materials to make two more dresses. I only spent $11.86 on fabric and all the notions, and since the dresses are reversible, I will have 4 outfits for that price.
