Embroidered Birthday Onesie

by Smockity Frocks on August 2, 2008

I think this sweet little embroidered birthday onesie turned out well. MaddieLynn drew the cupcake for me and I traced it onto the onesie. (Click on the photo to enlarge.)

I embroidered the design and added the rick rack on the sleeves. Super simple!

At first, I thought I would attach the tutu, but I couldn’t figure out how to get it to look just right, so I decided to leave it as a separate piece that will tie in back. I used pretty ribbon and a yard of tulle.

That is too cute and just like the sweet outfits I see that sell for top dollar in the boutiques around here! I think you may have yourself a new item to sell:)

adorable! I love the brown & pink!!

another option would be to make an elasticized waist on the skirt (that way momma won't have to tie & untie a kazillion times a day – oh wait ~ little girls probably just leave their dress-up clothes ON, huh?!)
