This was so "STINKIN" clever! I thought as a mama to quadruplets I had it all down, but you a couple of suggestions that I'm going to put to practice in about 5 minutes. =) 4-8 stinkies a day in my house! Lots of tender moments to save up for the nursing home days!

Ohak I laughed my way through that! Too funny! And I love the toothbrush idea! My 1 year old somehow has his hands on his tush scraping the poo off with his fingernails before I've even got the diaper all the way off. He's teething his canines right now so a toothbrush would be a perfect thing to keep him busy! And the baby oil... Why didn't I think of that?! My kids occasionally get that gritty sand poo that you keep wiping and it just rolls around on their bottom and won't come off on the wipe and it drives me bonkers. I use baby oil to remove the stickies left by bandaids (or the residue from wayward Dora stickers that have been left on my kitchen floor or the living room windows or the tv screen...) so it totally makes sense. Thank you for the laugh and the good tips! :D

So funny! I've lurked for probably a couple years now, but I just had to comment on this one! I have five children and never thought of using the baby oil like that! AAAARRRGH! With two in diapers right now, that tip alone made watching the video worthwhile! Made me wish I knew you in real life. Our kids could discuss their lack of baths together.

I keep seeing your blog pop up on other people's McLinky lists, but this is the first day I hopped over here. I love your blog and have been here for at least an hour now!

This particular post, with the video, is not only hilarious, but right on the mark. Not to mention that my 9yo daughter popped out of the van a few weeks ago and immediately announced to the strangers in the vehicle next to us that "My mom only lets us shower about once a month!" Wha??? I have no idea why she said such a thing and was flabbergasted. So, to hear you say that your kids would tell neighbors they only bathe every three weeks was hilarious to me. I had never heard of a kid saying such a thing until mine did. Thank you for being normal!

mychildsview.blogspot.com
chickhatching.blogspot.com/

Loved the integration of classic rock in the diaper changing video. Now I've got my song for the day. My little guy tends to eat dirt, so he definitely has some gritty diapers. My midwife gave me the oil tip with newborns and that really difficult "first poop." We actually use OLIVE OIL for that!
