Laptop Case – Make Your Own

I found this super easy Make Your Own Laptop Case Tutorial, and thought I would give it a whirl.

My friend, Amy, from The Finer Things in Life, agreed to be my first guinea pig customer and sent me this absolutely adorable fabric.

I used quilt batting and flexible cutting boards to give the case stability and cushion.

Then, I found these cute matching buttons to sew on the flap to disguise where I put the velcro. I am really pleased at how it turned out and I hope Amy likes it!

In fact, I liked it so much, I decided to use some of my Swagbucks to order this fabric from Amazon (for FREE! Thank you Swagbucks!) to make myself one so I could carry my laptop in style at Blissdom next week!  How cute is that going to be?!

Oh my stars. So very cute, and the best part is it is personal. I’m not sure I need one, but now I WANT one! I’ll bet you could do a better job of explaining the steps in a tutorial, with better photos and some snappy banter. Put that on your to do list, k?

I love the fabric she chose. You are going to look stylish at Blissdom! I wish I had more sewing skills so that I could make myself a case. But I don’t so the black one I am borrowing from my husband will have to do!

Thanks for coming by my blog! I hope to connect with you at Blissdom. =)

This is so cute! And, I love the fabric. If I ever get brave with my sewing machine, I might just have to try and make one. :)
