Blissdom Update

I am spending my last night in Nashville. I am dog tired, but the Blissdom blogging conference has rocked my socks off!

I have learned all manner of tips on connecting with readers, building a community, approaching advertisers, and how to walk my feet clean to the bone in a 4 acre hotel. (I’m not kidding on that last one. This hotel is unbelievable!)

Here are some of the great people I met.

The very first morning there was a Bible in 90 Days meet up and all these sweet ladies showed up.

Here’s who was there: (back row) Allean C., Kimberly of Raising Olives, Toni of The Happy Housewife, Melissa of Multi-Tasking Mama, Cheryl of Advenures of a Somewhat Crunchy Mama, (front row)Aubrey of Freeman Bits, Monica of Daily Dwelling,  Amy of Mom’s Toolbox, me, and Mandy of Pennies and Blessings.

Here I am at lunch with Aubrey, from Little Bits of Life and Lora Lynn from Vita Familiae. I wasn’t the least bit embarrassed that I asked a professional photographer to take our photo with my $99 Polaroid Instamatic camera that spits the picture out the bottom. We let this this one dry for the full two minutes before we peeled the paper off.

This is one of my favorites! I know it is blurry, (that stinkin’ instamatic!)  but I was dying to meet Robin, from Pensieve. She is absolutely larger than life and sweet as peach pie! This was at my very favorite part of Blissdom, a prayer coffee that Robin organized.

These are two sweet girls at the prayer coffee. Amy from With Purpose and Kimberly from Raising Olives.

I was actually on the flight with Amy and admiring her beautiful hair when I heard her tell someone she was going to a blogging conference. I get to ride the whole way back with her tomorrow!

Kimberly was kind enough to pick me up from the airport and was actually holding a homemade “Smockity Frocks” sign when I came off the plane! I cornered her at least seven times to pick her brain about various large family issues. I think I saw her hiding from me behind a ficus tree the last night.

This is one of my roommates, Monica, from Daily Dwelling. Isn’t she cute?! I tried not to hold that against her because she let me borrow her curling iron. (Thanks, Monica!) I didn’t get a pic of my other roommate, Liz, from Hoosier Homemade, but she was a Blissdom favorite because she brought 8 dozen homemade cupcakes to pass out!

Here I am with Myra from My Blessed Life.  She is a sweetie pie and her little boy is ADORABLE!

This is nearing the end of the last evening, which explains the “Is it bedtime?” look I have going on. Cheryl from Adventures of a Somewhat Crunchy Mama didn’t seem to mind at all that I was copying her scarfish fashionista look.

It has been an amazing weekend, but I can’t wait to get back to my people tomorrow!

It was such a pleasure to meet you this weekend, you are just as genuine and funny and beautiful IRL as you are on your blog. This was quite an overwhelming weekend wasn’t it? I don’t think I’ve fully absorbed it all, everyone was so wonderful. I really loved the B90Days meet up.
