Hey, remember when I offered to hold a drawing for all my Facebook fans? And one lucky winner would get a prize package worth $50, which included one of my handy dandy oilcloth aprons?
And I said I would draw a winner during the second week in December? And that was two months ago?
Well.
It turns out that right after I made that little announcement and over 200 of you became a fan of Smockity Frocks on Facebook, I became aware that Facebook made a little announcement of their own about a brand new policy. The most pertinent part of the announcement to me was that a $10,000 fine would be administered to anyone holding drawings in which the winner is chosen exclusively from Facebook fans!
So.
Since I don’t have $10,000 lying around (and by the way, if you do I would love to discuss a little financial matter with you because that it the precise total we now owe to two different hospitals) I thought better of holding the drawing I had promised.
My problem then became … what to do. I mean I said I was holding a giveaway, only I didn’t want that giveaway to include $10,000 I don’t have. But I also don’t want to go back on my word.
So, while I was at the Blissdom blogging conference, during a Q & A session, I asked about my predicament. I was advised that the fine was to be taken seriously and I should definitely make alternate plans.
Thanks to all of you who became Facebook fans of Smockity Frocks, and I am sorry that I am not going to be able to fulfill my promise to draw a name from that list.
Do not dismay, though! I have come up with an alternate plan!

Sorry to read about your medical bills. Those can take a long time to pay off. We’ve had plenty ourselves. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine what it would be like to be completely out of debt! Praying that it’s God’s plan for you and for us alike (to be out of debt, one day!)
