I would like to show you today how to make homemade Play-Doh in 3 minutes with 3 common kitchen ingredients.
My friend, Jamie, (Hi, Jamie!) gave me the idea for this week’s tutorial when she was telling me about her first attempt at making homemade Play-Doh. My children love this stuff and played with it for a solid hour after I made this video!

Awww I should have commented after I watched your video! It’s so sweet to see all your kiddos with you. We’ve usually made the stovetop playdough, but after seeing how fast this method is, I think we will switch.

Been looking for a recipe that didn’t have cream of tartar in it for a long time. Once I saw the video, we watched it and immediately piled into the kitchen. Kiddos have been playing with the finished product for about an hour now I’d say and are still going strong. We made ours green

Thanks for this tutorial. I have only ever made the stove top play dough, and while it’s always been a hit the kids aren’t able to help me much. My own boys are ‘too old’ for this kind of stuff, but I run a small daycare from home and the younger kids love this stuff. I’ll definitely try your way next time. Oh, and I totally agree with what you said about not adding scents. I made chocolate scented play dough once, big mistake!

I promptly plopped my 3 year old in the desk chair, ran to the kitchen and got 1/3 amounts of all the ingredients, and handed her the bowl to stir. She is proudly playing with her new pink play-doh that she mixed up herself in the kitchen right now. 
I had to use koolaid for the coloring though because I could NOT find my food coloring anywhere! 
Of course as soon as I put the Kool Aid in the water I remembered where I put the food coloring. *sigh* I’ll blame it on preggo brain… Hopefully she doesn’t eat it.
So do you store it in the fridge or if you leave it out what’s the expiration date?
I will definitely try this no cook version!

Thank you for this tutorial..We made this playdoh…I’ve made the cooked kind but not this kind and i think this was much easier. Also, I’ve been using your pie crust recipe and it is so delicious and easy..I made apple pie last night…….

I just have to tell you that after watching your tutorial a couple of times (at first they wanted to see the baby!), my children wanted to make this playdoh, so we got right to it & it was so much fun. Thanks for a great recipe – I’ve always made playdoh before, but only stovetop – this is much quicker & easier!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am still getting used to being a stay at home mom and some of these things scare me a bit. You have made playdoh making seem easy. I will be trying it with my kiddos tomorrow. I also have taken up knitting. Thanks for making this mom stuff easier!
Just made it. They are loving it. We put a few extra drops of coloring in it for a bold color. Thanks for posting the video!
My two year old son and I loved making this together was great playing with it……..until he peed on it. Perhaps the 2nd day of potty training and first attempt at play dough shouldnt happen together….
