Loving the iPod Jack

When Chevy told me that one of my “missions” was to use the iPod jack in the Malibu, I responded with a very professional, “Whuh? iPod what?”

Some of my children have iPods that they have purchased with their own money, but I have NO idea how they work. Have you seen the instruction page that comes with them? It is about the size of a tatoo that comes in a Cracker Jack box.

I need multi page instructional manuals with thick bindings, people! I need to flip pages and study diagrams. I need more than a tattoo!

Fortunately, my children seem to have a sixth sense about all things electronic, and they figured out the iPod jack in about 2 seconds so we could listen to songs they had previously downloaded.

And is there anything that says “end of summer” like a Christmas song? I think not. Take a listen and try to keep yourself from humming this all day. Go on. I dare you.

Oh, and Merry Christmas!

  1. I wish I had iPod jack. My 2 year old deposited all the spare change he could find into the car’s CD player, so now the radio is our ONLY option!

  2. That is such a cool feature. I wish it was in my 1997 suburban! HA! No but really, I want to listen to Christmas music now. I try to hold off til the day after Halloween but maybe this will be make the 106 temps in Austin feel a little more manageable!

  3. Isn’t that the truth!!

One of my four year olds had to show me how to turn the volume up on the Flip camera. (He likes to make his own iCarly movies….) They are so much better at electronicals, as we call them, than I will ever be!
