Letting Kids Create Recipes

I like to let my children help me in the kitchen, and they generally enjoy contributing.
Usually, I will give them the recipe I want made, but occasionally I let them come up with an original recipe. My Madison asked to create a dish last week and it was a big hit!
Everyone loved it, and I was so proud of her creativity! I think letting kids create recipes is a great confidence booster, PLUS it is great practice for real life skills.
Here is what she came up with.
Slice 4-5 medium potatoes. Mix milk with melted butter, salt, pepper, and garlic. Layer potatoes, spinach, and shredded cheddar in a 9 x 13 pan. Pour milk mixture over all, cover with foil, and bake in 450 oven for 30 minutes.
