Oven Fried Pork Chops

Our family loves this oven fried pork chops recipe and I serve it at least twice a month.

It is super simple and yummy to boot! You’ll need:

  • 2/3 Cup Bisquick (I use plain flour if I don’t have any.)
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • pork chops

  1. Melt the butter on a cookie tray in a 425 oven.
  2. Mix Bisquick (or flour), paprika, salt, and pepper in a dish.
  3. Coat the pork chops.
  4. Bake 25 min. Turn and bake  15min. longer. (Since various cuts of pork chops vary in thickness, I alter this depending on thickness. Thin cut pork chops will be overdone at this length.)

In your “How to make cream gravy” video, you have an electric something cooking the chicken. Is that an electric skillet or a fryer? It’s not a deep fryer, is it? I’m just wondering why you chose to use that on your stove versus just a pan on the stove. What are the advantages? I rarely fry with any amount of oil that splatters because of the splatter mess, so I am wondering if what you are using may make my life easier. Please share.

@Chick Hatchers, It is an electric skillet. I use it instead of a pan because it is much bigger than any of the pans that will fit on my stove. It will fry 8-10 pieces of chicken at a time, while my largest pan will only hold 5-6.

I love pork chops just like my husband and 2 daughters. But I didn’t know that I can bake them. I always frie pork chops. My coating is flour, eggs and roll wiped off.
And I have to say that I love your blog.
(Sorry for my English)

Just made these for the first time. Allowed my butter to brown first. Was WONDERFUL!!! Served with rice and gravy. Looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

The day before grocery shopping, I’m a professional scavenger cook. But, I was struggling tonight trying to figure out what to do with these pork chops. After a lengthily google search, I stumbled across this recipe and came across a box of bisquick in my cabinet. Super easy and a total hit with the kids! They love it. Shake’n'Bake, what?
