Some Links I Like

Do you ever wonder what someone is thinking? These are the things I’ve been thinking about lately.

  • This precious little girl is on the very precipice of heaven. I can’t stop thinking about her and praying for her and the family who loves her so.
  • Remember the pop up book tutorial I showed you? This one, by a brilliant 14 year old girl, blows mine out of the water! We’ve watched it several times and my kids are making pop up books like crazy!
  • Did you know you can make your own microwave popcorn with nothing more than a paper bag and popcorn kernels? Well, you have to have a microwave, but still… SIMPLE!
  • Remember the homemade play-doh recipe I showed you? Here are some fun natural dyes for homemade play-doh.
  • This birthday wish made me smile.  I have met a few on line friends in real life and there are a few more I’d love to meet face to face one day.  Have you met up in real life with any online friends?

  1. ….to answer your last question: Have you met any ‘online friends’? No, I haven’t really, though our kids bumped into other homeschool kids we only knew from photos and online whilst on camp/holiday last year. Hey – bumping into another homeschool family – this is Scotland. This is the UK. THAT just doesn’t happen! But it did, and they were chuffed to bits.
But I was going to say this: that some of my ‘blog’ friends, I almost feel like I *know* them. Much more so than FB and other internet…things! Yep, blogging definitely makes you feel like you know a person better, I think. But wouldn’t it be great to meet some in real life. O well, maybe some day. Or maybe just when we all get home to heaven.
    Love, Anne x

@Anne, How fun! And how funny that you didn’t know until afterwards!

And… uh… “chuffed to bits”? I’m assuming that means “pleased as punch” or “thrilled to pieces”? :0)

  2. I have been following Ashely’s blog for years now. My heart breaks for this family. I am praying daily for them. They truly do need a miracle.

  3. Thanks so much for the popcorn link! I’ve been eating a lot of popcorn as a part of my high-fiber, low-calorie, lose-the-baby-weight diet, and I wanted a way to make it cheaper. This will make it even more low calorie, too, because I don’t need any toppings on it. Thanks!!

  4. I really liked the links, thanks for sharing them :o)

I have met an online friend – I don’t want to say too much, but sometimes you find you get on better with some people online than in real life!

  5. It’s my lucky day! I’m getting ready to make play-dough and I think to myself… Smockity posted a good recipe not that long ago, so I head to your blog. And lookitchu… putting a link to just what I need, right in your very top post! :) Thanks! ;)
