Vegetarian Chili Pie

by Smockity Frocks on October 8, 2010

My family loves this dish! It is simple and hearty, just right for the cool fall weather.

Hop on over to $5 Dinners to see my Vegetarian (or not) Chili Pie recipe.

Hi, I just found your blog. I was wondering, what time do your kids go to bed? Mine stay up so late, it’s embarrassing.

Just saw the recipe. Yum.
Quick question….you said to top it with your favorite cornbread recipe. I have never made cornbread (don’t know if I have even eaten it before). I tried to look one up on Allrecipes.com…..there are over 150!!! Help! How do I know what a good one is? Do you have a favorite one or could you tell me what I should be looking for?

Thanks,
Judy

@Judy, I use the Jiffy cornbread mix or the recipe on the back of the Aunt Jemima cornmeal bag (my favorite). It says 2-4 tablespoons of sugar and we lean more toward the 4 for a sweeter cornbread.
