Favorite Christmas Gift – Wii Fit Plus

The Smockity Family’s favorite Christmas gift this year is, hands down, the *Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board.

We are all fighting over enjoying taking turns using it, and laughing at one another hula hooping and flying in chicken costumes and yoga posing and trying to get family members shaped like balls through little holes in platforms floating in space.

Because we’re all very mature like that.

One  thing I like about the Wii Fit is that you can program in your goals and it will tell you how you are doing!

I put in that I would like to lose 15 pounds in the next 3 months, and the Wii told me that I will need to lose 2.3 lbs every 2 weeks to reach that goal. Each day I get on, the Wii weighs me, calculates my BMI, tells me how many calories I have burned, and keeps track of how many minutes I have spent exercising. (You can keep up with my progress and share yours on my Facebook fan page.)

Another big plus for me is that the exercises are FUN! Of course if you don’t have a crew of howling monkeys making fun of you while you’re doing it, it might not be as much fun for you… or wait… maybe it would be totally cool to be able to exercise without anyone laughing at you!!!

Ah, well, I shall never know.

In any case, our whole family, big and small, young and old, are all loving this Christmas gift!

*I’ll make three whole dollars and sixty cents if you order it from my link!

  1. We, too, purchased a Wii for Christmas and apparently my Wii age is 44. I am only 29. I want to take it back to the store.

  2. Get ready for harassment from the wii voice! If you don’t lose the weight as fast as the wii would like, it reprimands you! It will say things like, “Have you been eating cookies?” Ha! And if you skip too many days it notices that too.

    Always watching you!

Enjoy….we got a new game that is a lot of fun: WiiParty. Not fitness related, but lots of fun.

    Have a great day!

  3. We received our Candy Land game today! Yay! It was kindof funny because our 14 yr old found the package outside of the door, got all excited thinking it was his new gameboy that he was waiting for, tore it open only to find…….Candy Land! BOO! :) My 4 yr old was excited though!

  4. We love our Wii Fit. I haven’t been on it in awhile; I should do that later today. I love that ball game! That and hula hoop are my favorites.

  5. Oh, I think I want this for my birthday! Sounds like fun. We just got a Wii for Christmas and I already love the tennis, bowling, and boxing. Sounds like just what I need!

  6. we too got a wii fit plus for Christmas. We are arguing, and we can’t get the 11 yr old off of it. But anyway I agree they are lots of fun, but just a suggesting, don’t calculate by your weight, calculate by how you look, because you can lose only 3 pounds by have lost 10 whole pounds of fat and gained 7 of muscle:) the more muscle you have the more quickly you can burn fat, as you will have a higher metabolism :D
Sorry heard it on the radio and had to share!
