The Well Stocked Pantry {Giveaway}

by Smockity Frocks on June 18, 2011

Since we have been going through a layoff, we are realizing just how important it is to have a well stocked pantry.

For the first time in my adult life, I am in the position of not being able to run to the grocery store to pick up whatever I want to feed my family. I am dependent on what is in my pantry and freezer.

That is why I love the idea of “Shelf Reliance”. Having foods in your pantry that will be “shelf stable” for years can help prepare for whatever may happen that would put you in the same situation I am in.

Would you like to try some Shelf Reliance products for FREE?

Tawny, from Tawny’s Thriving Home, is giving away 3 products from her store!

3 chances to win!
There are multiple ways you can enter to win: (Leave a separate comment ON THIS POST for each entry.)

This is a sponsored giveaway.

Wow! Looking through Tawny’s store was a really fun experience. In addition to all of the freeze dried and dehydrated fruits (strawberries would be our #1 pick) and veggies that I know my family would love, I am intrigued by the butter powder (what a fabulous way to substitute for regular butter which is SO pricey!), and the freeze dried ground beef (very cool!). Thanks for this giveaway!

Betsy June 18, 2011 at 8:12 am

I’d like to try the veggies – especially the spinach (since that’s something I have trouble getting into our diet otherwise!)

Chick Hatchers June 19, 2011 at 10:26 pm

There are so many things I am curious about, but it keeps coming back to wanting to try the milk. My kids don’t like powdered milk on their cereal, so I wonder if this one is any different than others we’ve tried. That’s what I’d buy first if I were making a purchase.

I’d want to try one of the meats first to see if they actually taste good. Lots of interesting things there!

L June 20, 2011 at 11:38 am

I would probably try one of the fruits first.

Mary V June 20, 2011 at 2:40 pm

I have the freeze dried red and green peppers and they are wonderful! I don’t even rehydrate them half the time I just throw them in my spaghetti sauce, chili or soup. So good and one of the best helps I have in my pantry!
