Since we have been going through a layoff, we are realizing just how important it is to have a well stocked pantry.
For the first time in my adult life, I am in the position of not being able to run to the grocery store to pick up whatever I want to feed my family. I am dependent on what is in my pantry and freezer.

That is why I love the idea of “Shelf Reliance”. Having foods in your pantry that will be “shelf stable” for years can help prepare for whatever may happen that would put you in the same situation I am in.
Would you like to try some Shelf Reliance products for FREE?

Wow! Looking through Tawny’s store was a really fun experience. In addition to all of the freeze dried and dehydrated fruits (strawberries would be our #1 pick) and veggies that I know my family would love, I am intrigued by the butter powder (what a fabulous way to substitute for regular butter which is SO pricey!), and the freeze dried ground beef (very cool!). Thanks for this giveaway!
I’d like to try the veggies – especially the spinach (since that’s something I have trouble getting into our diet otherwise!)

I remember seeing these products advertised on BYU TV when watching the Food Nanny . . . Now I have a better understanding of what they are – very cool!

I’ve been wondering where I could get some freeze dried bell peppers, since the fresh ones frequently die a slow, messy death in my vegetable bin before they get used. THANK YOU!

I like the storage system and cookbooks because what’s the use of having all of this food if you don’t know what to do with it?
I’ve been eyeing those can organizers for the pantry. I’m also interested in the blueberry yogurt bites. Sounds yummy!

They all sound appealing….. but I REALLY like the various shelving units!
There are so many things I am curious about, but it keeps coming back to wanting to try the milk. My kids don’t like powdered milk on their cereal, so I wonder if this one is any different than others we’ve tried. That’s what I’d buy first if I were making a purchase.
I subscribed to her blog through email.
Freeze dried peaches! I would eat them like candy!!! Because in a perfect world peaches would be in season all year round!!
I’d want to try one of the meats first to see if they actually taste good. Lots of interesting things there!
I would probably try one of the fruits first.
My favorite product of Tawny’s are the freeze dried blueberries.
I totally rely on my pantry – it is a blessing every day! My kids love freeze dried blueberries so that’s the product that I would pick. I use them in pancakes, muffins, on cereal and in quick breads – they are nutritious and yummy!
Any of the drid fruits – strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, banana chips – I’m getting hungry just thinking about them!
I subscribed to the blog.
I just placed a sample order – I am most intrigued by the freeze-dried veggies – spinach and onions, and the TVP. We cook vegetarian and I have been missing the beef in my chili and wonder how the TVP will taste.
I am now a Facebook fan.
I’d love one of those cansolidators!
I would love to try the raspberries!
Ohhh… the blueberries. Yummy!
ohh – the freeze dried pineapple chunks or the banana chips would send my kids raving!
I think the freeze-dried fruits would go great in my oatmeal. I’m having trouble picking, though … strawberries and blueberries are both so good for that kind of thing!
Ice cream sandwiches in a can? How crazy and cool is that! I’d love to give these a try!
Heather
Fruit. Any of the fruit.
I have the freeze dried red and green peppers and they are wonderful! I don’t even rehydrate them half the time I just throw them in my spaghetti sauce, chili or soup. So good and one of the best helps I have in my pantry!
