The more I think about it, ALL my areas of home management could use help. But laundry and time management are the two biggest challenges for me right now. How I would love to read Large Family Logistics!

  57. My biggest area are kids’ bedrooms. We 3 to a room and all their clothes and special treasures it is hard to keep them in order. Especially since the bedrooms are upstairs and out of sight all day.

  58. This book would help us get a “system” going so we can prctice hospitatlity. Currently, I need at least a two day notice before visitors can come – hee, hee! I think we need a big ol’ Hobart oven, mixer, commercial refrigerator, etc. so perhaps this book would really help with learning how to operate a large family household in a small family house!

  84. I like Smockity Frocks on FB

  85. My biggest struggle is trying to get it all done, and having the children be responsible w/ doing their lessons and chores but yet have some free/down time. There just does not seem to be enough time to get it all done and have some quiet rest time as well.

  86. Jane D. says:

Clutter. No one (including or especially me) is any good at throwing away things. We also have things that came from my mom when she moved into nursing care that are important and she might want later and things that came from cleaning out my father-in-laws house after he died. There is no place to put things away and because so much is out, no one is willing to put away things that do have a place.

  87. Lisa H. says:

    Paper clutter and bad attitudes….

  104. My biggest challenge is meal time. When I lose control of this, I seem to lose control of so many other things too!

  105. I like you on fb.

  106. I struggle with motivation and keeping up. Especially since Dh is unemployed (working on our 4th year now) – I’m not particularly creative in the making something into something else creative – our trailer is old and needs lots of repair work – I’m also taking care of my Dad’s house next door (twice as big as our house – our oldest sleeps in the guest room at night) – and a car accident 18 months ago left me with damage to my right arm – on top of Dh recently having a major heart attack from the stress …. anyway, I know we should be more on top of clutter and chores, but while we manage to mostly keep my Dad’s house looking good, our little trailer often looks really bad. There are a lot of things I really can’t do anything about (worn out carpet and linoleum or repairs sticking out like a sore thumb) but many days I’m even unmotivated to tackle what I can do to make a difference.

  107. I need help teaching my children to help around the home. It always seems easier to complete tasks myself.

    Organization and motivation!!!

  126. I think that for me the biggest thing is time management because it seems like there is always something falling through the cracks. So during our summer break which starts after reading is done on Friday, I am focusing on getting a chore time established for the girls, and a routine in place so that when we add schooling back in we are more organized in other areas to make it possible!

Plus, I was a reader of Kim’s original blog and loved it. I learned tons from here, and I am always looking to improve on things!

  170. Jen5253 says:

My homeschool room/play room/craft room is a huge pit right now. And I just can’t get motivated to start shoveling paths and getting it organized. The most embarrasing part is that it’s the first room people see when they come into my home. *blush* So once I finally get this room organized, I know that it will feel like a huge weight has been lifted!
