I’m Speaking “At the Well”!

Hey, does anyone remember when I admitted that I have a fear of public speaking? That I get all panty and shaky and my neck breaks out in red blotches?

The thing is, I love to talk, especially if it is something I am passionate about. If you get me started about homeschooling or childbirth, I might very well talk your ear off before you’re able to make some excuse about a phone call you’ve been needing to make and plan a getaway.

So, that’s why when I was invited to speak at an online conference on marriage, I was all over it like white on rice.

You see, I can hide in my closet and talk into my laptop and no one will even know that my neck is all red and blotchy! Well, except you people. Don’t tell anyone, okay?

There are going to be some awesome speakers over 3 days, plus interactive question and answer periods.

I’ll be speaking in 2 sessions:  “Nurturing a Lifetime Marriage” and “Strategies for Surviving an Unexpected Layoff”. (Even though when I submitted the titles for my sessions I sent “Strategies for Surviving an Unexpected Outfit“. Huh?! I have no idea. I guess I was very concerned about my outfit that day.)

I am looking forward to hearing about Thriving Together in the Midst of Infertility, speaker Ashley Wells. I never know what to say to my friends who are enduring this trial. Maybe Ashley will give me a new perspective so that I may be encouraging to others. I suspect Nurturing a Lifetime Marriage will be exciting too! ;)
