I have been reading Dana’s blog since before it was Roscommon Acres. (Does anyone remember when it was Principled Discovery?)

And when she lost her little son in an accident shortly before Christmas, I felt like I was mourning for a dear friend. I was mourning for a dear friend. Even though I had never met her or spoken with her, I felt as though I knew her because she has been sharing pieces of her life with me and all of her blog readers for a long time.

And my heart was broken imagining what she was feeling.

Since that time, Dana has dedicated herself to raising money to fund “Tiggy’s House“, a center in Nepal that will reach out to orphans and street children. Dana wants those children to know the love her little “Tiggy” knew during his short life.

One way she raises money for Tiggy’s House is making by making and selling her beautiful jewelry. 100% of the proceeds goes toward funding the center, and the goal is $50,000.

Dana sent me this beautiful mother’s bracelet that has my birthstone and my husband’s on each side of the cross. Around the rest of the bracelet, in birth order, are the birthstones for each of our 8 children. I LOVE it!

You can find these awesome bracelets at her Etsy store, and if you buy one, you will know that the money will go toward a worthy cause.

Dana would also like to give one of my readers your very own custom made mother’s bracelet! This would make an awesome Mother’s Day gift for you or someone you love!

Simply leave a comment on this post (email readers will need to click through to the post) telling me you would like to win this bracelet.

I am a gramma nearing 60 years old, and have experienced uncounted Blessings from the hand of our LORD (for even in the hard things HE is working Good). This is a wonderful time to live– with the CHRISTian movies coming out to impact our society (has anyone seen October Baby??); women sharing their hearts and lives with others–mirroring our LORD’S heart in Titus 2; families allowing GOD to turn their ashes into beauty and being productive to the benefit of the least of these……….. May our LORD abundantly Bless Dana’s “Loving” through the work of her hands.

I would love to win this bracelet for my mother. February 4, of this year, I lost my sister Kathy, her 29th birthday was 2 months away. My mother is in such pain from the lost of her daughter. This is the second time my mother has had to experience the pain of losing a child. Kathy had a twin named Kelly that passed away at birth. Now Kathy is with her twin sister Kelly in heaven. My mother had to say goodbye to two loved daughters. This bracelet would be such a wonderful Mother’s Day gift of her.

I love this idea! I would really like to own one. I have 4 kids and have had one miscarriage. I wonder if there could be a special, different bead that could commemorate the loss of a baby as well. Hmmm…

Gem April 4, 2012 at 8:25 am

BEAUTIFUL bracelet, and I’d wear it in a second…but that is an ankh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ankh), not a cross, on the bracelet. Like I said, I’d wear it regardless, since Christ is the key of life and the giver of eternal life, but an ankh means different things to different people.

Blessed Mama April 4, 2012 at 8:29 am
