Elemental Science – Grammar Level Biology {REVIEW & GIVEAWAY}



Recently, I was asked to review Elemental Science [3], which is  a year-long science curriculum written by homeschool mom, Paige Hudson.

We chose to use Elemental Science, Biology for the Grammar Stage [2]. This is intended for grades 1-2 and is a 36 week course, including study of


The curriculum lays out for the parent/teacher, in step by step format, what is to be done each day. The worksheets and pictures are included and may be printed out.

Here, you see my 2nd grader studying and writing about walruses and other mammals. She enjoyed classifying the animals and recording what she learned about each one.

She also did an experiment wherein a rubber band was placed around her fingers and she tried to remove it without using her hands. This was to show how pollution can affect animals.
