Fundraiser for Homeschooling Family

by Smockity Frocks on December 20, 2012

Can you imagine taking in 10 children, ages 2-16?

One day you are a normal, homeschooling family, with a daily routine and a limited budget, and the next day you have 10 MORE CHILDREN than you did the day before!

And all this is happening right at Christmas time!

My friend, Joy, is heading up a fundraiser for just that family. You can read more details about the family on Joy’s blog.

She has recruited several bloggers to donate ebooks for the fundraiser, which will last only until December 21. This ebook bundle is a fabulous bargain at just $5, but when you factor in the fact that you will be helping a needy family, well it’s downright irresistible!

Go on over to Joy’s to read more of the sad situation which made these 10 sibling homeless, and then grab the ebook bundle. ALL FUNDS raised will go to the family. (Joy has also set up a Paypal account if you would like to donate extra to this family.)

This is a wonderful idea. I’ve just finished purchasing the e-book bundle HOWEVER, this is my first e-book purchase and I wonder – how do I “get” the books? I’m obviously pretty “technically challanged”!

You should have been emailed a link to download the ebook. You’ll want to download it on whatever device you would like to read it on.

This is an amazing story and a wonderful idea to help this family. I will purchase the ebook bundle, but my logical engineering hubs cautions me that anybody can say anything on the internet and I have no proof this story is true. Is there any way to give him assurance?

The lady taking in all the kids is a cousin of my friend, Joy. Her email is joy@fivejsdesign.com. She will be glad to assure you that the story is true.

Like your husband said, she can say anything and you don’t know if it is true or not. She has stayed in my home more than once and I know her to be a beautiful, lovely person.

Of course, I could just be saying that, too! I guess this is where faith comes in! :)

I can’t help financially but I blogged about it.

you get an email when you pay by paypal and it says a person’s name associated with the account. I googled the name for possible scam reports and found nothing. Looks legit. I guess if I get scammed trying to do something nice, that is not the worst thing to ever happen to me….that person would be inviting some pretty lousy karma if it was a scam. :-)

Can you get these e-books even if you don’t have a Paypal account?
