Remember when I posted about sharing my room at the Homeschool Moms’ Winter Summit with one lucky commenter? Well, I was thrilled that some of you actually commented to enter to win that prize, because I had a small panic attack after posting that, fearing that no one would have wanted to win sleeping in a room with me.
Yeah. That would have been totally awkward.
Thankfully, several of you entered, and then that brought on another minor panic attack because I wanted every single one of you to win! I knew I had to pick only one, since my room doesn’t have 4 bunk beds, so I used one of those Random People Pickers, and of all things, it chose one of my new friends from church!
Now, for the rest of you who didn’t win, you can still get a Summit pass for the special Smockity price of $69. That includes early-bird workshops, Friday night session, Saturday sessions, Saturday workshops, Plated lunch on Saturday, and an event booklet.
The hotel room is $99 (plus applicable taxes). Each room is a two room suite, and you will get a free full hot breakfast and a manager’s hospitality hour, serving free drinks and snacks between 5:30-7:30pm. Since the rooms allow up to 4 persons per room, that means if you have 3 roommates, your hotel cost will be only around $25!
That’s a weekend away, filled with encouragement from veteran homeschool moms for $94 or so! I know this time of year comes with lots of extra expenses, but if you can possibly swing this, you won’t regret it. Maybe this would be a Christmas gift your husband or parents would be willing to give you.
You’ll come back home encouraged and filled with new strength to follow the path before you.
Okay, who wants to ride with me?
