Surgery For Our Girl

Remember when I told you how our girl broke her leg a couple of weeks ago? Well, we have gone through a very unsatisfactory experience with one doctor who wanted us to wait almost a month after she broke it to plan any action. Fortunately, we found another doctor quickly (who was appalled at the lack of action of the first) and he wanted to get the bone back together as quickly as possible.

Since we had already scheduled college orientation for last Friday, the doctor allowed us to wait until Monday for the surgery. He will be placing some screws in to help the bone come together to heal properly. Hopefully she will be good as new in 5-6 weeks.

If you think of us, we would love prayers for a safe surgery and effective healing.

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16

  9. I have a pin and a screw in my ankle, but on the opposite side. I broke off my inner ankle bone. I’ve heard that recovery is much quicker with surgery than without and that the chances for arthritis are fewer. I hope that your daughter recovers quickly…but I’m sure she will — she’s young!

  10. I have said a prayer! I hope all is going well!

  11. Courtney says:

Thank you Jesus that we can go to another doctor for a second opinion!
