You may have heard that we, here in Texas, are currently going through “Ice-mageddon 2013.” As in, y’all we don’t know how to act when it gets cold around here. As in the entire Dallas/Fort Worth area has become immobilized because of all the ice.
Fortunately, just before the wintery mix hit, and just after I had heard it was going to be a doozy, I had to make a run to Walgreens to get a prescription filled.
Don’t you love how Walgreens has everything from prescriptions to groceries to last minute Christmas gifts?
Like any normal family would, we did a little dancing to MC Hammer’s “You Can’t Touch This” right there in the toy aisle, besides picking up our prescription.
Then we headed over to the grocery aisle and loaded up on some Good & Delish pizzas, chips, spinach and artichoke cheese dip, and cookies.
Because this is what I had in mind during our snow bound days.
Yes siree. If we were going to be trapped inside, snowbound, as it were, we might as well make a John Wayne movie fest out of it, right?
So we all hunkered down, watched movies, and treated ourselves to Walgreens Good & Delish chips and spinach and artichoke cheese dip, (I may or may not have eaten that whole bowl myself. Ahem.)
rising crust pizza,
Good & Delish pecan and almond caramel crunch,
and a Good & Delish cookie tray!
That’s right. We had a regular old party with the party snacks we picked up at Walgreens in the grocery aisle.
So whether you need a last minute holiday gift, a fancy cookie tray, gourmet appetizers, or a quick dinner option, check the Walgreens holiday gift guide for ideas. You can pick up the guide right as you walk in the door and it is filled with tons of ideas for gifts and party foods.
And you can even use those ideas for a special treat to help yourself manage the madness of the holidays.
Or Ice-mageddon 2013. Either one.
