Schlitterbahn, HERE WE COME!

Schlitterbahn Waterpark

We are super excited to be able to visit Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort in Galveston this month! We have never been before, but we have heard about their 37 rides and the famous indoor park.

Schlitterbahn is designed to have something for every age – inland surfing on the boogie bahn is very doable with a lesson or two, splash zones are designed to be safe for the littlest guests. And with free life jackets and kids tubes even cautious moms can feel safe.

Have you been to Schlitterbahn before? What tips do you have for having a blast with the family at a waterpark?

I am offering 2 free tickets to be used in the month of June to a commenter on this post!

***not an entry*** Yes! My son and DIL lived a very short bike ride from Schlitterbahn while he went to school on Galveston. You will have a blast! I miss having them live there.

We have never been before. We would love to go!!!!

  5. One thing we love about Schlitterbahn is that you can bring your own food in the park…real money and time saver. Gotta get there early to get a picnic table to leave your stuff, set up camp. We have never been to the park in Galveston…would LOVE to go!

  6. I’ve never been to a water park. My husband has fond memories of that kind of trip, but we’ve never gone. We would love tickets for a new adventure! At least, the kids would love it. I don’t like water so much, so I would be happy in the splash pad w/ the 18 month old.

  7. Schlitterbahn is the BEST and almost always makes it to our list of ‘must do’ items in the summer. Last year we missed due to illness. I love it because it is in the water and you can be cool, but there is no charge for parking, you can bring in your own food and drinks, and did I mention the water is cool and refreshing??? My son still talks about the year he was four when we went to Galveston Schlitterbahn and how he could touch the 8′ wall as the wave lifted him up. Super fun. Enjoy!

I have never been but have heard of it! Would love to go. :-)

  9. We’ve never been, but it’s on my husbands “to do” list.

  10. I love Schlitterbahn. I haven’t been since I was a teenager!!

  11. I have not been since we only had one kid. Also the one I went to was in San Marcus, we picked a section and stayed on that side, set up a “camp” to leave our stuff. Pack more sunscreen than you think you will need, and some aftersun for when you get back to the car at the end of the day. My all time favorite thing to do was hang out in the lazy river, boring I know, but so relaxing:D

  12. We have never been either, but we would love to go!

We have never been but would love to visit!
